I’m Nicole Mae, aka Coley, aka Mommy. When I started with Avon in 2016, it was $15 to join and a light turned on upstairs that got my wheels spinning out of control.
Let me tell you, I started to come up with all sorts of business ideas. I really came into this business ready to make some cash. At first I thought I’d start a personal shopping & gift service using my Avon as the main source! HA! I quickly learned that Avon doesn’t really offer gift wrapping so that wasn’t going to work as a gift service.
BUT I HAD ANOTHER IDEA!
I saw that I could order these really cute and cheap samples as an Avon Rep. Honestly, that made me feel a little business-owner-ish. I figured why not just order myself samples all the time before I buy the full size product and continue to order all of my girly girly stuff right from my estore. I’m not sure why it sounded like a genius idea but I soon learned that’s what ALL Avon Reps do. At the very least, I was definitely on the right track.
I started to poke around the back office side of things and learned that as long as I grew an email list, Avon sent emails to all of my subscribers for me. And when those subscribers opened and clicked on anything in those emails, it would always lead to my Avon estore. To read the rest of my real Avon review story, here ya go.
CAN YOU MAKE MONEY SELLING AVON?
I signed up to become an Avon Rep for purely selfish reasons. I didn’t want to spend $300+ a month on high end skincare and makeup. If you think about those trips to the department store where you pick up makeup/cleansers that you don’t need, it adds up! I was buying Lancome and Clinique, MAC and Laura Mercier, ELF, Smashbox, and the list goes on. The crazy thing was that I don’t think any of it was really helping me feel my best. I was padding the big name pockets and it wasn’t satisfying for me at all.
I made the decision to be loyal to Avon within 6 months. I had earned a credit with the company and from that day forward, I didn’t have to pay for anything I ordered right away. I also had access to samples of hundreds of products, I padded my lipstick collection to my heart’s content, and I was earning commission on everything I bought.
My coworkers started ordering and asking for me to bring new brochures in every 2 weeks.My family members began ordering from my estore. I was happy to have a side business that was also helping me financially.
